【摘要】 1964年，美国放射科医师Charles Dotter为一位82岁女性成功地用同轴导管扩张法治愈了下肢动脉狭窄，被公认为介入放射学事业的创立。介入放射学技术是在20世纪70年代后期引进中国大陆。1979年，林贵等发表《选择性血管造影诊断原发性肝癌》一文，标志着我国介入放射学起步。林贵教授在20世纪80年代初就对物理和化学消融、肿瘤栓塞作了开拓性研究。与此同时，刘子江教授开办介入放射学习班，为全国各地培训了大批介入医师，推动了全国性介入工作迅速发展。1986年，全国首届介入放射学术大会在潍坊市召开。1990年，介入放射学分会在第二届全国介入放射学术大会上成立。林贵教授还指导和协助程永德教授创办了《介入放射学杂志》。此外，时任全国放射学会主任委员的刘玉清院士，也对中国介入放射学事业发展和介入临床科室建立起到了很大的推动作用。我们应当铭记历史，心怀感恩，把中国介入放射学事业做得更好。
