【摘要】全球范围内，膝骨关节炎（knee osteoarthritis，KOA）正折磨着数百万患者，其不仅带来剧烈的疼痛，还严重降低了患者的生活质量。特别是在65岁以上的膝痛患者群体中，KOA的患病率更是超过50%。近年来，膝动脉栓塞术（genicular artery embolization，GAE）作为一种创新治疗手段，展现出了其在治疗KOA方面的巨大潜力。该技术通过抑制关节内的异常新生血管生成和神经生长，有效改善了患者的疼痛症状和下肢功能障碍。随着临床应用的逐渐推广，GAE为KOA患者提供了一种新的治疗选择。该文综述了GAE在KOA治疗中的应用，包括其治疗原理、手术操作方式、栓塞剂的选择、临床疗效评估以及可能的并发症情况，旨在为该技术在国内的进一步开展和普及提供科学依据和参考。
